How Alison Found Soul Sorter
Before homes called to her, Alison Galindo taught children to dance. In Santa Barbara’s sunlit studios, she guided young hearts through movement — teaching grace, rhythm, and trust.
Off the mat and onto the sand, she wandered the coastline collecting sea glass and litter, moving with the tides and listening to what the ocean had to say. She noticed which objects felt like trash and which seemed to whisper “Keep me.”That instinct — to sense meaning in the overlooked — would one day become her calling.
When Alison’s aunt passed, her family asked her to clear a condo packed with decades of belongings. What others braced for, Alison moved through with ease. She sorted like a dancer: grounded, graceful, in flow. Her heart understood what should be honored, what could be donated, and what was ready to be let go.
Soon after, the connection came. A meeting with a friend at the harbor in Santa Barbara.
A metaphorical octopus swam forward — fluid, maternal, wise, a keeper of order. A soulful creature tending her underwater den with care and clarity.
Alison saw herself in that image: eight arms, multitasking with empathy, shapeshifting to meet each family’s needs, creating space for grief without adding pressure.
That’s when she realized what she was really doing. She wasn’t just clearing homes. She was helping people move forward.
She became The Tender of Tides — and her business became Soulful Sorter. Alison and her team offer soulful, judgment-free home clearings for families in transition — especially after loss, illness, or in hoarded and hidden-away spaces.
With eight metaphorical arms and one deep sense of purpose, she brings presence, peace, and practical help when it’s needed most.
